Mrs. Julia Hammond, aged 81, of 162 Andrews Ave., Lake Orion, died at her home on Saturday, March 6, at 9:10 following a two months illness.

She was born in Oakland County, near Oakwood, on Nov 11, 1866, the daughter of Porter and Nancy Loomis Butler.

She attended kline School in Oakland township and L. D. S. Church of Lake Orion. She had lived in Lake Orion for 50 years. She was a member of L. D. S. Womens Group and an honorary charter member of the Lake Orion Women's Club.

She is survived by a nephew, George Hopkins, of Kalamazoo.

Service was help Monday at 2:00 p. m. from Allen's Funeral Home, the Elder David E. Dowaker and Elder Henry Webster officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
