Albert Carroll, 74, Dies Following Long Illness


Albert Carroll, 74, died Saturday at his home, 20 Louck street, Oxford, following an illness of six years.

Born Oct 25, 1873, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Carroll. He married the late Nellie VanVlessier Feb 18, 1895 in Detroit. He attended Detroit public schools and was a member of the Eposcopal Church.

Mr. Carroll had lived in Oxford for the past 35 years and was the former owner of Ploss Lake Ice Company in Oxford.

Survivving are four sons and three daughters: Francis A. and Mrs. Meto Apostal, Lake Orion; George E. of Mio; Henry L. and Bernard W. and Mrs. Maynard Church, Oxford; Mrs Ward Brockman of Rochester.

Services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p. m. from Allen's Funeral Home, Lake Orion, the Rev H. B. Johnson of Oxford, officiating. Burial was in Oxford Cemetery.
