U. S. Files Claim for 7 Million
Charge Willys-Overland and Wilson Foundry Cos Owe It For Taxes.


Toledo, Ohio, March 3, A claim for $7,000,000 back taxes was filed here today by the United States government against the Willys-Overland company and the Wilson Foundry company, of Pontiac, Mich.
The government filed the claim jointly against the two concerns for the reason that the Wilson Foundry company is closel allied with the Overland and the companies made a cimbinable tax return to the government.
C. B. Wilson, present head of the Wilson Foundry company, was for several years vice president and general manager of the Willys-Overland plant here and during the time the production of the Pontiac plant was absorbed almost exclusively by the Overland plant.
The claims made by the government include differnces on government contracts during the war, as well alleged errors in filling tax returns.
