Hon. Fred M. warner, who was re-elected Governor of Michigan on the Rebuplician ticket on Tuesday, is well known in Lancaster county, where he has relatives. He married to a cousin of Dr. B. F. Shaub, of Lancaster. Mrs Warner is a doughter of Samuel and Susanna Groff-Davis, both of whom were born in this county, and moved from Bart township to Oakland County, Michigan, about thirty five years ago. Mrs. Davis lives in the borough of Farmington, Oakland County, Michigan, with her daughter, the wife of the Governor, and manages the two farms which were owned by her late husband, Samuel Davis.
The Governor and his family frequently visit relatives of Mrs. Warner in this county. After Governor Warner's renomination last August, he wrote to Dr. Shaub, expressing satisfaction over the pleasure manifested by his friends over his re-nomination and stating his belief in his re-election.
