Bowie News (Bowie Texas), Jan 19, 1961.
A teenage couple enroute to Michigan stopped at the east edge of town on Highway 287 early Tuesday morning to find one of their young twins dead. The twins were on the back seat of their old model car asleep. When the mother , Mrs. Donald Vore, started to feed the children, she discovered that one of the two, Terry Lynn Vore, age 2 months and 7 days, had suffocated in her bed clothing. The couple stopped in at Quisenberry's Old Log Cabin in search of informations to where to go to report the death. Mr. Quisenberry contacted Rev. Elden Cole of the first Methodist Church and told him of the incident. Rev. Cole met the couple at the Burgess Funeral Home after they reported their loss to the local police. Dr. Harris, of Bowie Clinic, examined and pronounced the infant dead at about 7:30am.
Funeral services were arranged by the Burgess Funeral Home. The interment will be made at Drayton Plains, Michigan, and will be handled by Sparks-Griffin Home, of Pontiac. Terry Lynn is survived by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Donald Vore of Drayton Plains, Michigan, her twin sister Carol Ann Vore; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Vore of Drayton Plains, Michigan; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Blackledge of Pontiac, Michigan.
