Veteran business Man to Retire
C. V. Taylor, who was the pioneer of the vehicle business in Pontiac, has dols his interest to Secretary, John Gummer and treasurer Everett Todd, of R. D. Scott & Company. Mr Taylor began the vehicle business here sixteen years ago, after he had been engaged to wind up business of the Pontiac Wagon Co., which failed to make success of the manufacture of spring wagons. The new concern will be the C. V. Taylor Carriage Co., Mr. Taylor retaining an interest. The management of both compaines interested in the deal will remain the same until July, at the close of the present season's business, when the change will be made. Mt. Gummer has been identified with R. D. Scott in the carriage business since 1893, and Mr. Todd since 1889. Both are regarded as among the most sompetent carriage men of the city.
