Cartercar's Addition

Pontiac factory will increase floor specs by 10,000 feet

Contractors are on the ground and work is being rushed on a large addition to the factory of the Cartercar Company at Pontiac, Mich. The present automobile season has been a big one with the Cartercar Company and a let-up in the demand for cars was anticipated. Business, however, has kept up remarkably and indications are that this season's business will greatly exceed all previous years with this company. for these reasons, it has been necessary to build an addition to the plant.

The building is of brick and steel construction of the latest modren saw tooth type roof. It will give an addition of approximately 10,000 feet of floor space and when built, will be occupied by the machine department. The accuracy of the work of all machine and ground parts has always been given the most careful attention in the Cartercar factory. This new building is being constructed to afford the most perfect lighting arrangements possible, enabling the workman to do the finest mechanical work.
